The World's Purple-eist 1950s Hollywood Glam Mid Century Swivel Slipper Chair

Ok, first things first:  due to either camera or photograher incomptence, we could not - for the life of us! - capture the true color of this chair.

It is not, like it appears in the pictures, purple/blue, or blue violet, nor does it have any hint of blue.  It is 100% purple.  Think Northwestern University purple.  Or Minnesota Vikings purple.  Or, although we haven't eaten at McDonald's in the last 20 years, Grimace purple.  Really.  When we say it's the world's purple-eist, we mean it!

The condition is like new - it's easily the nicest upholstered slipper chair we've come across.  Swivels (360 degrees) nicely and smoothly.

26" high x 29" wide x 28" deep.

Everyone needs a purple chair once in their life.  We've had our dose.  Now it's your turn!

SOLD.  Thanks, Lisa @ Elgin!

Pair of 1960s Danish Mid Century Bent Plywood Chairs - Style of Arne Jacobsen

Arne Jacobsen is perhaps the greatest Danish designer of seating, and this pair of chairs was certainly influenced by his designs - in fact, they bear a striking resemblence with his Series 7 chair (model 3107 to be specific) from 1955.

The beauty of this chair?  Simple, elegant, and pure.  What makes it great is what isn't there.

So, instead of one, how about a pair?  For the bedroom.  For the den.  For the living room (perhaps opposite a wonderful Danish teak sofa?).  Anywhere you want wonderful design - these chairs are beautiful and versatile.

Good vintage condition.  Original rubber shock mounts are present and intact.  Some minor veneer loss in a few spots.

Signed "Made in Denmark" on underside.

33" high x 18" wide.

SOLD.  Thanks, Agnieska @ Chicago!
