Pair of Lane Mid Century Walunt Circular Side Tables

Mid Century Italian Marble Coffee / Console Table - Long & Low!
Add a sophisticated dash of continental style to your abode with this wonderful mid century coffee table.
The top is made of a wonderful green marble (with white traces) that is 1" thick - and extremely heavy! The marble slab sits on a wood base with nicely tapered legs.
The table offers pleasing proportions at 62" long, 14" deep, and 13 3/4" high.

Norman Cherner Mid Century Bentwood Pretzel Side Chair
It's not hyperbole to call Norman Cherner's pretzel chair a mid century design icon. Just....gorgeous.
A set of six or eight of these chairs around a dining room table is mid century nirvana. The starting point for that quest is with chair #1! :). And while you search for chair #2, this one will make a stunning accent chair.
This is the side chair - in this case, upholstered.
Structurally sound, and in good vintage condition. Some veneer loss on the upper back of the chair, and some pin pics to the vinyl covered seat (with a small of vinyl on the side). Easy to reupholster in the fabric of your choice.

Large Danish Mid Century Rya Carpet
So you have all this nice mid century furniture...and what do you place on the floor to tie everything together? A Rya carpet, of course!
And if your color scheme runs in the earth tones - specifically browns, taupe, beige, mustard, etc. -this carpet might have your name on it!
This example is nice and large: a full 5' x 8'. A neat geometric pattern is woven throughout.
Good, vintage condition. Some minor fraying on a couple ends, and a couple small traces of paint (tough to notice, and could be cleaned). Unsigned, but very Rya-like!

Vintage Lawrence Peabody Fiberglass Wingback Rocking Chair by Selig
First, an editorial comment: Lawrence Peabody does not get the credit he deserves as furniture designer. Perhaps it is because Peabody's body of work extends to objects considered more pedastrian: window treatments, other fabrics, home wares, etc. Perhaps it is because Peabody believed that beautiful design should be available to the masses, not a select few. Whatever the reason, his furniture design is painfully underrated.
Case in point is this wonderful fiberglass wingback rocking chair that he designed for Selig. He also designed a legged-chair of similar design, but the rocking chair is much more desirable.
A rumour has circulated for some time that these chairs were placed around the carousel at Central Park back in the day - who knows, maybe this chair is a transplanted New Yorker!
This chair has the fantastic fiberglass graining and wonderful color that make these examples so wonderful.
Overall condition is excellent, with some very small cracking and chips (see pics). It still rocks like the day it was made - and is tres comfortable!
A statement piece for your home...by a classic American designer.

Paul McCobb Maple Side Table w/ Glass Shelf - Connoisseur Collection
Happy New Year from Gotcha Modern!
Ok, so it's a bit belated. We sheepishly admit that we took an extended hibernation over the winter. But, now that summer is almost upon us (yikes!), we're ready to showcase some wonderful pieces to help put a spring in your step (um, pun intended!).
First up is a fine - and rather scarce - table designed by Paul McCobb. McCobb's designs are practical, graceful, and the epitome of 1950s and 60s mid century design.
This table is from his Connoisseur Collection for H. Sacks and Sons. Most of McCobb's designs for this line featured brass "X" stretchers for the legs. This particular model retains the brass collars around each leg, but the stretchers are replaced with a much more practical glass shelf. Notice the bow-tie supports under the table top - an example of McCobb's understated design. Tapered legs. A single drawer.
The table is in good condition, with some scuffs on the legs and surface scuffs/spots (as can be seen in the pictures). The glass is excellent condition, and drawer slides easily and smoothly.
Dimensions: 24" W x 30" L x 21 1/4 H
